So...yesterday was fun. Left for New York at around 9 AM, got there around 12:30. My friend is a Japanophile and we more or less went from Grand Central to Chinatown immediately. Ate a bit of Chinese food, which I'm no fan of, and hit up a Japanese bakery for some unique treats. I saved my food for the ride home. That...didn't happen. So, after spending the afternoon walking around Manhattan, we headed to Times Square and the PlayStation Theater for Babymetal. Once we got in, all the baked snacks we were going to eat on the way home was confiscated by security. All thrown out despite our insistence that we weren't going to eat it inside. I understand poll their adherence to policy but c'mon, dick move guys. So, got some merch, went inside the theater and enjoyed a damn good show. Starting with Babymetal Death, and going through tracks from both albums such as Catch Me If You Can, Doki Doki Morning, Karate, The One (in English!), and Road of Resistance. All told, a stellar show that has me wanting to see them again. Then the ride home came. Leaving Grand Central (which, by the way, is a train station) at 10:40 PM, I didn't get home until 2:40 AM. So yeah, a long day. A sometimes frustrating day. But also a fun one. I'd recommend seeing the band if you have the opportunity to do so.
